PRIMUS CLASSICUS

Since its foundation in 1874, Orsat has wished to promote the work of the region’s winegrowers. Today, mindful of tradition, Caves Orsat still buys grapes from nearly a thousand producers. These range from amateur winegrowers who work mostly with their families, to professional structures specialized in the cultivation of the vine. Together, the sector represents an important part of the agricultural economy of the canton of Valais.

Our Primus Classicus range represents the best of our winegrowers. Year after year, the highest quality grapes from our winegrowers are used to make these exceptional wines that showcase the specialties of the Valais.

We highlight our winegrowers on our labels. Indeed, each wine is adorned with a black and white photo of one of our winemakers in his vineyard, giving Primus Classicus wines a resolutely contemporary look. Finally, the back labels are equipped with a QR-Code that will allow you to get to know the winemakers who were interviewed.

Through the numerous anecdotes, you will discover a whole part of the Valaisan culture.
