THE RANGE FROM CAVES ORSAT
PRIMUS CLASSICUS
- The first prestige range of Caves Orsat is made up of wines from a meticulous selection of the best grapes and parchment. The vinification of these wines is a mixture of great tradition and modern technology. Each vintage is subjected to several comparative tastings to refine the quality. This range represents all the specialities of the Valais: from Fendant to Cornalin, via Petite Arvine and Pinot Noir. Some international specialities such as Chardonnay and a red assembly, Romulus (Humagne rouge, Cornalin, Syrah, Merlot and Pinot Noir), complete this prestige range.
LES VILLAGES
- A range of 4 wines from the Valais tradition in 50 cl, “Les Villages” is also available. These wines come from defined regions, such as the Fendant from Leytron or the Gamay from Fully.
THE WINES OF OUR OTHER ESTATES
- In addition to the wines of the Orsat house, you will find in our cellar in Martigny, the wines of the other estates from Famille Rouvinez.
DOMAINES ROUVINEZ
- Founded in 1947, Domaines Rouvinez is today one of the jewels in the crown of Valais’ wine industry. Rouvinez has revolutionised the winegrowing landscape through its constantly innovative approach, whether in terms of the cultivation of grape varieties, blending, the use of barrels or, more recently, the switch to organic viticulture and even the production of L’Echappée, the first beer to come out of a Swiss winegrowing estate.
CHARLES BONVIN
- Founded in 1858, Charles Bonvin is the oldest producer of Valais wines. Thus, Carolus Bonvin, then his descendants, were precursors in the profession that today makes the reputation of an entire canton. As owners of Charles Bonvin since 2009, the Rouvinez family ensures the preservation of the historical heritage of this great House while accompanying it into the 21st century. Its key words: tradition, know-how, craftsmanship. Their credo: “timeless, close to people”.
IMESCH
- Founded in 1898, Imesch is closely linked to Sierre, the City of the Sun. Although Léopold Imesch, its founder, came from a family in the Upper Valais, he chose to settle here because of the quality of the terroir and the climate in the central Valais. Imesch cultivates particularly well exposed vineyards on the right side of the Rhône, some of which are over 50 years old.
